For so many families, the Delaware beaches are woven into the memories of childhood, summer vacations, grandparents’ homes, and traditions that continue from one generation to the next.
There’s something beautiful about the places we return to year after year.
Having grown up here, I know these little stretches of coastline like the back of my hand. From Bethany Beach and Rehoboth Beach to Lewes, Cape Henlopen State Park, and Gordon’s Pond, each has something different to offer.
Whether you’re traveling from the Main Line, Annapolis, the DMV, New York, or discovering the Delaware beaches for the very first time, I love helping families find a place that feels just right for them.
02 / Knowing Where to Go.
Not every location is right for every family, and that’s part of what makes planning your session so personal.
Young children eager to explore, teenagers with personalities all their own, grandparents joining the photographs, or a baby experiencing the beach for the very first time. Every stage of family life brings something different to consider.
I’ll help you navigate those decisions, from choosing a beautiful, accessible location to planning around the light, the season, and everyone joining us.
You don’t need to have a particular beach in mind. Part of my role is getting to know your family and helping you find a place that feels right for this chapter of your lives. What works beautifully with toddlers might look entirely different a few years from now, and I love that our time together can grow and change right alongside your family.
03 / A Little Room for the Unexpected.
The light, the wind, the tides, and the weather are all part of life along the coast.
Some evenings are golden and still. Others bring soft clouds, movement, and beautiful changing skies. I love working with what each day gives us, while thoughtfully planning around the conditions.
For families visiting during summer vacation, we’ll reserve two consecutive dates and choose a morning or evening time frame. As your session approaches, I’ll follow the forecast closely and determine the best day and exact start time.
Once we’re together, there’s room for the portraits everyone hopes for, children exploring, and the little moments that happen when families are simply enjoying one another.
