Black Tie Affair: Behind the Lens of a Luxury Wedding

There’s a certain hush that settles before a black-tie celebration begins; an energy suspended between the last steam-pressed tuxedo and the first note of a string quartet. Photographing a luxury black-tie wedding at the Delaware beaches, in Annapolis, or along the Philadelphia Main Line is an art of restraint and refinement. It’s about translating sophistication into story—where every frame feels both intentional and alive.

Every detail matters: the gleam of a ballroom chandelier reflected in glassware, the perfect drape of a custom tuxedo, the flicker of candlelight spilling across a marble floor. Luxury weddings demand a photographic approach that honors both precision and emotion. My work leans into that balance—editorial in composition, documentary in spirit.

Whether it’s a coastal soirée at a private estate near Rehoboth, a grand celebration in historic downtown Annapolis, or an elegant black-tie affair on the Main Line, I approach each event as a visual narrative. I’m drawn to the tension between formality and feeling—to those in-between moments where poise gives way to laughter, and perfection meets intimacy.

Luxury, at its core, is quiet confidence. My goal is to create images that mirror that same energy—sophisticated, cinematic, and deeply human.
